City officials, staff, board members, and community organizations met on Thursday, February 17th at the Dayton Community Center for the City’s first Visioning Session. The public meeting began with a presentation from each participating organization followed by discussion and networking. The purpose of the Vision Meeting was to increase cooperation and communication between different Dayton organizations.

Each group was permitted 5-7 minutes to share with the group their organization’s mission, successes for the year 2021, and their goals for 2022. City Council and City staff attended the meeting to provide clarification and guidance for the participating groups. Calendars were made available at the gathering for the organizations to list their upcoming events for 2022, a list of which will be made available at a later date.

The next step for the City’s strategic planning efforts will be a session with city staff and council members in March 2022.
