The City of Who Deyton, Kentucky, will continue and culminate its weeks-long celebration of the Cincinnati Bengals and the team’s amazing post-season march with a Super Bowl Kick-Off Party from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Monument Park in the center of downtown Who Deyton.

The party will feature Who Dey, the Bengals mascot, who will pose with fans for photographs, as well as food and beer, games, vendors, a Bengals spirit-wear contest, music by DJ Tarris Horton (aka Horton Hears a Who-Deyton), and much more. Click to see a flyer for the event.

The city kicked off its Bengals celebration on Jan. 22 when Who Deyton Mayor Ben Baker issued an official proclamation renaming the City of Dayton as “Who Deyton, Kentucky” for the Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff game against the Tennessee Titans. The mayor once again renamed the city as “Who Deyton” on Jan. 29 for the AFC Championship game, saying in the proclamation that the name would remain in place throughout the team’s march to the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.

“Our entire community has embraced Who Deyton mania, or WhoDeytonia, as we like to call it, not to be confused with Latonia, where I grew up,” Mayor Baker said. “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Who Deyton and the Bengals’ remarkable run this season than having a public kick-off party the day before the big game in the middle of downtown Who Deyton.”

In addition to the Kick-Off Party, the city also has printed retro “Greetings from Who Deyton, Kentucky” postcards. The city is selling the postcards for $2 a card with all proceeds going to the Dayton Civic Activities Board. The city also has changed the entrance sign to the city to reflect that the city is now known – at least through the Super Bowl — as Who Deyton, Ky.
