Ben Baker is currently serving his second term as Dayton Mayor after previously serving as Councilman for two consecutive terms. During both City Council terms, he served on the Bellevue Dayton Fire Board. Before being elected to City Council, Baker served on both the Dayton Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the Main Street Board of Directors.
Mayor Baker studied telecommunications at both the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University. Upon completion of his undergraduate work, Baker joined a technology start-up firm in Cincinnati in 2004 and has worked in the technology infrastructure industry since that time.
A strong proponent of Northern Kentucky businesses, Mayor Baker is a member of both the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce as well as the Covington Business Council.
Mayor Baker moved from Covington in 2010 into a historic building on Sixth Avenue, where he now lives there with his wife, Julie Stewart, a special-education teacher in the Boone County school system.
